Our purpose is radical inclusivity.
Radical inclusivity is the intentional inclusion of every person in the community of faith.
For The Fellowship, inclusion is not a slogan. It is a call to transform theology, ministry, leadership, and community life so that no person is forced to defend or deny their humanity in order to belong.
We exist to support religious leaders and laity as they move toward a theology of radical inclusivity. That theology requires an equally radical social ministry, one that reaches to the furthest margins of society and serves all who are in need without prejudice or discrimination.

why we exist
The Fellowship brings together a diverse family of primarily African American Christian leaders and communities from many denominations, traditions, and cultural contexts. Our members include established churches, emerging ministries, independent congregations, pastors, teachers, organizers, and lay leaders connected by a shared desire to live a faith that is honest, hospitable, justice-centered, and radically inclusive.
Many people who live at the margins have also been wounded by the church. TFAM exists because we believe communities of faith can confront oppression without reproducing it. We believe the gospel calls us to create places where the stranger becomes a friend, the wounded find refuge, and the marginalized are centered with dignity.
